Asked & Answered Blessed Birth of a Singer – PART 2

Asked & Answered: Blessed Birth of a Singer – PART 2

Photos Provided by: Charlyn

For a while there I was busy working on several things some of which are trainings to help improve many things in the businesses that we (Eileen and I) have.  It delayed the next update on what is on going with our blessed friend, Charlyn.

Thank you everyone for joining again with our guest Charlyn, as some of you know she is from Cape Town, South Africa.  Which Eileen and I are learning is a very, very beautiful area and it has been added to our Life List of places to go travel to.  That’s why today I am asking some more questions on Cape Town.

REMINDER: Those that have not read the first A&A, you can do that now, and then return here. Asked & Answered: Blessed Birth of a Singer

Me: Hi Charlyn seems we are both busy this month and had mentioned doing another talk with you, thanks for joining me with another round of Asked & Answered.  I’ve noticed that some people have more than one style such as business, business casual, smart casual, casual, and casual-casual.  What three styles do you prefer?

Charlyn:
Smart casual
Casual
Business casual

Me:  Many of those reading my blog have either never been to Cape Town, South Africa or have not been there in a long time.  Do you have any photos to share?

Charlyn:
I have lots of photos, the one hobby my family enjoys together are taking mystery drives on Saturdays to discover new wine estates, fresh food markets or restaurants.  We love exploring and Cape Town has so much to offer, we are blessed to live in a beautiful city.

Me: What have you been working on in the last few weeks?

Charlyn:
I've just finished my first cd consisting of 8 tracks, which is in the process of being mastered at the moment.  I'm also busy with new songs that I've composed and hoping to record it soon.

Me: What new things have you learned about making your first track for your music CD?

Charlyn:
I'm a very versatile artist and love many genres from, soaking, jazz, house music, orchestra and worship, so this recording process was challenging.  I have 2 fast tracks on my CD (house music), and one jazzy song. I have learned that certain style of music needs a specialist for that particular style or sound.  This whole experience was stressful at times but I've learned so much and I will definitely do it differently in the near future

Me: Do they guide you as you sing each song or after you have sang the song?

Charlyn:
I needed guidance on certain songs because this was my first experience.
I think going into studio the artist needs to be well rehearsed to eliminate wasting time. Time is money in a studio.

Me: Who will decide on the cover design?

Charlyn:  I had a photo shoot recently, all my pics were sent to my web designers, and before they choose one I will have the final word.

Me: What countries have you been to?

Charlyn:
The overseas countries that I have visited are, Singapore, which remains the highlight of my life, we visited Singapore twice.  I've been to Guangzhou China for 4 days this was an experience.  We spent 7days in Mauritius at Shandrani hotel, which was out of this world.  Our ministry has been invited to Missouri and New York to do a Grace Revealed conference for 2weeks. I'm hoping to travel to Europe in 2015, Rome, Italy, Spain and Paris.

Me: Have you been to Hillsong Conference?

Charlyn:
No, I haven’t been to a Hillsong Conference, I would love too.  My hearts desire is to visit Bethel Worship conference for worship leaders and songwriters.  I absolutely love their music and all their worship leaders.

I am waiting in anticipation for the release of her beautiful, soul soothing and vibrant sound. She has proven with this cd that you cannot box a person by the ability to sing songs from different genres and yet come out with a song that can be enjoyed by different generation and different tastes in music. The world is waiting Charyln cheering you on and as you release the sound God blessed you with and just be you, you unknowingly unlocking others.

  3. WOW! Where do I begin? Charlyn and I have been good friends for the past few years. God has graced me to walk this beautiful journey alongside her. What a freshness and total mind blowing experience for both of us. If I may say, we both cannot really explain it. When Charlyn first started sharing with me the lyrics of one of her first songs, it was music and sound of orchestra coming and breaking through the clouds, straight from Heaven. Like a butterfly, free, fun, playful yet colourful, displaying ALL of God's Glory, Nature and Diverse Splendour through her. I believe its called non other than God's Grace (unmerited, underserved) FREE gift. God gave us this vision 2 days ago : Rivers of refreshing water flowing out of mouths and splashing onto instruments. A new and completely clean, pure sound...an "out of this world" creation of unique heaven-sent melody and harmony. Splashing, swooshing, bright and sparkling water...cleansing and delivering VICTORY to all who hear.
WOW! AWESOME!!. God has begun to release this NEW sound through you for Cape Town and the Nations of the World!!! All I can say to you Charlyn is : FLY BUTTERFLY FLY
